Low home prices attract new buyers to Northern Michigan

Buyer interest has also been sparked by recent media attention on the great summer activities that are available in northern Michigan. Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse city have both been highly ranked among American vacation destinations, and locals say that the accolades are paying off, bringing in more tourists and interested home buyers to the area.

The accessibility of the pricing is also bringing back a lot of Michigan natives who have moved to other parts of the country. One woman near retirement said she decided to buy a home near her parents now and spend the next few summers there, rather than wait five years when she is able to move in full time.

Northern Michigan is considered one of the key real estate markets in the state, and many are saying that the exciting economic climate there signals good things to come for other markets.
